For one, the IP65 rating of Cybernet's medical monitors far outstrips anything found in the consumer field. IP65 stands for 'ingress protection,' with the '6' standing for particle intrusion protection and the '5' standing for protection from liquids. A '6' for particles means that these medical monitors are completely sealed from dirt and dust. Not only does this help the monitor last longer because it removes the kind of build-up that slows components down, it also cuts off an easy avenue for bacterial intrusion. Bacteria often ride dust, dirt, and skin cells into crooks and cracks, which simply isn't possible with a sealed medical monitor.
